ORYX MAGAZINE

Model - Nina Immortal
Photography - Louisa Rogers
Styling - Ana-Maria Williams, Natasha Fawn and Danielle Victoria
Hair and Make-Up - Ellis Yates
Creative Direction - Jordan Rudland

These images are from an editorial that I worked on for Oryx Magazine a few months ago. It was part of a project that some fashion journalism students at my university were working on, as they aimed to create a high-end publication for young women in Dubai.

We had a great team and an even better time, shooting for several hours on one of May's sunniest days. With regards to overall experience, it's the most fun I've had on a shoot. Believe it or not these were shot in west London, but clever backdrop selections and effective photography give the impression they were shot somewhere a lot more exotic. Our model, Nina, was also excellent and despite being an amateur, had a professional way of working. I think her personality comes across in the images.

FINAL PROJECT: BEHIND-THE-SCENES

Here are some behind-the-scenes shots from the shoot I did on Wednesday with a group of girls from my university for our final project of the year. The concept was gypsies, black magic and darkness so we contacted a number of young designers and borrowed eight outfits that fitted with our theme.

STYLE ICON PROJECT: FINAL IMAGES

Here are the final images I used to document the outfits I put together, complete with horrendous editing by me. Overall I am happy with my outcome, however there are a few things I would go back and change if I could. Having studied Bowie and what he has worn throughout his entire life and career, I believe these outfits reflect his style accurately.

STYLE ICON PROJECT

My final images for my University project, which involved choosing a style icon to research and putting together five looks inspired by them.

REINVENT

In today's Styling Workshop, we were given 40 minutes to customise and reinvent a classic white men's shirt and transform it into something new. We turned ours inside out and back to front to create this minimalist dress.
